Phillip is a wealthy aristocrat who becomes quadriplegic after having an accident. He needs an assistant and decides to hire Dell, a poor young man with a criminal record who has no experience taking care of people in his state. Between learning the role and several gaffes, Philippe takes a liking to Dell for not being treated like a poor thing, and an unlikely friendship emerges with each one getting to know the other's world better.
