After a 17-year hiatus, writer Glória Polk (Regina Duarte) decides to write a book again. One day, she receives a visit from the young journalist Carol (Bárbara Paz) to talk about her return to literature. Excited about the opportunity, Carol soon realizes that Glória keeps many secrets, which have made their relationship difficult over the years. The film portrays the difficulties of relating in the modern world, the fear of getting old and the complicated process of writing a book.
