When Azur and Asmar were small, they were nursed by the same woman, Asmar's mother and Azur's nanny. She always told the story of the Fairy of the Djinns, trapped in a cave of light, waiting for rescue. Separated in childhood, they meet again as adults, as rivals, when they go in search of the fairy.
