Baby lives alone in the apartment she inherited from her mother. She gives guitar lessons to some students and lives in friction with her sisters. When musician Max moves into the apartment next door, Baby sees in him a big chance to come back to life. For the romance to work, she is willing to face any threat, including her compulsive smoking addiction.
