Mariana is part of an important Chilean family, but despite her privileges, she finds herself entirely unhappy in her own home. Feeling despised by her father and husband, she finds refuge in the arms of her riding teacher Juan, accused of several crimes during the dictatorship. From this love affair, Mariana contemplates her family's past coming to light.
