In an effort to thwart the plans of the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, Albus Dumbledore recruits his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. The lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest of friends and family, in a wizarding world increasingly divided between pure-blood mage beings and non-magical beings.
