Philippe Mars leads a quiet life, following a routine and doing his job without too many complaints. He strives to try to be a caring father, a loving ex-husband, a good colleague, and an understanding brother. However, Mr. Mars is a sensible man in an irrational world. Seeing his son becoming an extreme vegan, his daughter a pathological entrepreneur, and his sister selling paintings of their naked relatives, he tests the limits of his patience and begins to lose control as he witnesses increasingly absurd situations.
