After the death of his wife, David Wilson is left with the responsibility of caring for his autistic son Patrick alone. PO, as the boy likes to call himself, is extremely intelligent, but he struggles to be understood and accepted by the people around him, and thus, he moves further and further away from the real world by letting his mind travel to a fantasy universe, where you feel most comfortable. As the difficulties they each face in their own world threaten to permanently tear them apart, father and son struggle to cope with the loss and adapt to this new reality.
