1940s. Eurydice is a talented young woman, but quite introverted. Guida is her older sister, and the opposite of her temperament towards socializing. Both live in a strict patriarchal regime, which makes them follow different paths: Guida decides to run away from home with her boyfriend, while Eurídice strives to become a musician, while having to deal with the responsibilities of adult life and a loveless marriage.
