Robert McCall is a professional driver and helps people with the help of Susan Plummer. One day, a businessman puts a woman in his car and orders him to drive her to his house. Realizing that she was raped, McCall decides to go after the man, with the excuse that his credit card was not accepted. A short time later, he discovers that Susan, one of the few people who knows of his acts as a vigilante, has been murdered.
