A contemporary dance emerged in decade 1960, as a form of protest or break with classical culture. It is not defined in specific techniques or movements, as the performer/dancer has the autonomy to build their own choreographies. The performer is free to create his compositions from themes related to political, social, cultural, autobiographical, behavioral and everyday issues.
