With movements that recall the waves of the sea, snakes and the shapes of the moon, the belly dance provides several benefits to its practitioners such as the reduction of menstrual cramps, increased self-esteem, improved posture, stretching and flexibility, relief from tension and stress, memory activation, among others. Athene Tamisier is the teacher in charge, graduated in Physical Education with a Masters in Education and also a professional dancer in Brazil and abroad.
