Open and free course on Albrecht Dürer is promoted by the Badesc Cultural Foundation, in partnership with MESC/UDESC

Badesc Cultural Foundation, in partnership with the MESC/UDESC, promotes an open and free online class on the German visual artist Albrecht Dürer. The meetings, divided into two Wednesdays, July 8 and 15, from 19 pm to 21 pm, via the online platform Zoom.

taught by the teacher Ana Lucia Beck, the class is titled “Albrecht Dürer – art and the present time"

In the first meeting, the life story and artistic production of Dürer will be discussed. In the second, the focus will be especially on graphic work and interartistic production, which integrated the verbal and the visual. In this class, the most famous work of the artist will be discussed, the the four apostles, held a few years before he died.

Registrations

There are 50 spots available for the open class, in order of registration. Those interested in participating need to access and fill out the online form until 15 pm on Monday, July 6th. After completing the registration, an email will be sent with instructions and the access link to the platform.

Ana Lucia Beck

A member of the Brazilian Association of Art Critics (ABCA), Ana Lúcia Beck holds a bachelor's degree in drawing, a master's degree in Theory, History and Art Criticism and a PhD in Literary Studies from UFRGS. post-doctoral work at PPGAV/UDESC on Lindolf Bell's role in art criticism.

After 13 years of experience with university education in Rio Grande do Sul, she currently works as a teacher in the Visual Arts Course at UDESC and also at USAC. She is a member of the Imagem-Acontecimento research group, registered with the CNPq, under the leadership of Sandra Makowiecky and Rosângela Cherem. The group recently released the work Passado-Presente em Quadros: an anthology of the history of art in Santa Catarina, to which Ana Lúcia contributed five chapters.
