The course, taught by Ivan Jerônimo, is the opportunity for those who want to experience calligraphy as a visual expression through pens, brushes and liners that bring their own creative possibilities. The class begins with a demonstration of styles, tools, paints and supports and continues with practice, in which the participant tests materials, compositions, makes their own instrument and develops their work. The methodology addresses several topics, such as: The art of calligraphy today: instruments, supports and styles; Ffundamentals: proportion, contrast, rhythm and composition; Demonstration of materials and their results; How to make a bamboo feather and a homemade thread striper; Experimentation with materials and compositions; Choice of an instrument and theme for a final work. Each participant must bring: Knife (important: with a new blade); Empty aluminum can (soft drink, beer, etc.); One or two small pots (about 50 ml), empty, with a lid, to store paint. It can be a seasoning, medicine or cosmetic; Pencil or mechanical pencil; Rubber; Ruler; Scissors.
