In times of isolation, when domestic violence reached even more alarming rates, it highlighted the mission of alerting the population about the importance of preventing and confronting violence against women. In a time of pandemic and isolation, many actions were adapted to the environment online and that's what the instructor did Sergio Raulino, founder of the projectEmpower Yourself: Female Self Defense”, which teaches Kitsune Method techniques of self-defense to women.
In the classes, simulations of situations that address different scenarios of everyday violence are worked. With the worrying increase in femicides in Brazil due to social isolation, self-defense has become more urgent than ever for women who suffer from domestic violence.
