Ministered by Marco Martins, from Vinil Filmes, the course provides participants with an introduction to audiovisual language, also covering notions of the history of cinema and the evolution of video, instigating perception and ways of approaching it. In addition, subjects such as storyboard and decoupage, the sequence plan, the limits of production vs. the creative process, montage/editing and in-camera cutting.
The differential in this workshop proposal is the practical work entitled “Cut on Camera”, where the student/director starts filming in order to edit the film during the process. In other words, it is a planning/decoupage exercise where the filmmaker shoots a story chronologically, keeping in mind limitation as a creative potential.
The methodology is supported by two theoretical meetings, based on texts and films and discussions about the presented content. Then, choose the themes, prepare the scripts and record the videos.
