Do you, photographer@ or filmmaker, know your identity?!? The course "Finding Your Identity: Theory and Practice in Photography and Audiovisual" was created with the aim of offering tools for the creation of identity construction for artists and those interested in the areas of photography and video. Experimental-sensory dynamics will be used throughout the classes, which will have self-knowledge and recognition of the other as their guiding thread. The idea is that together we can create a collaborative and/or co-creative project in order to express the individual and collective identity created during this journey. The course is free of prerequisites or prior knowledge, you don't need to be a professional photographer or have advanced professional equipment, but anyone who has is also very welcome to build these experiences with us, because in the end we will create a project together! We will have two facilitators who complement each other with their experiences and knowledge. As a traveler from North to South of Brazil, Sharlene Melanie is from Manaus/AM and is doing a PhD in Design at UFSC, having her research focused on the development of photographic projects with a socio-political theme. She is currently a professor of the Undergraduate Design course at IFSC, having as her main subjects Photography, Theory of Form and Color. Through the exchange and experience she had when becoming a teacher, she presented articles and facilitated workshops and lectures in Brazil and other countries such as Argentina and Portugal. Access it at: http://sharlenemelanie.com/ Lui Mendes is a filmmaker, he also loves to travel and, with his willingness to learn, he did his undergraduate degree in Brazil and the other in Holland, in the Art and Technology course. In his career he went through advertising, serving global clients such as Heineken and Mars Incorporated, but his real passion is Audiovisual. His latest video work, called "Além de Nós", is in the official selection of festivals around the world in countries such as the United States, Russia, France and has already been presented in Portugal.
