Florianópolis City Hall, together with the Municipal Department of Education, starts the program Summer Nursery. The project is aimed exclusively at children in the municipal education network whose parents or guardians work during the high season. This year, all registered children who confirmed their enrollment will be attended to in the municipal education network's early childhood education units. Seven units are part of the program: NEI Nagib Jabor, in Estreito; NEI Orisvaldina Silva, in Lagoa da Conceição; NEI Santo Antônio de Pádua, in João Paulo; English Nursery; Creche Waldemar da Silva Filho, in Trindade; Maria Nair da Silva Nursery, at Fazenda do Rio Tavares; and Creche Celso Ramos, in Prainha.
