The festival of Wesak, also known as the Festival of Enlightenment, is the Festival of Buddha. It is the great Festival of the East and one of the most important festivals of the full moon. This festival takes place when the sun is in the sign of Taurus. Wesak is a feast of liberation from awakening and transfiguration, the journey home. It promotes a bridge between humanity and spirituality, and the balance between the Lower and Higher Self. In this phase, the sun will be in the sign of Taurus, a receptive and fertile sign, which promotes structuring and abundance, as well as nourishment. The Moon will be in the sign of Scorpio, bringing about a balance between matter and spirit. It is a way of transforming desires into aspirations, through higher knowledge, prayers, meditations and personal analysis, during the month that follows until the next Full Moon. In addition to the participation fee, guests can contribute flowers to the altar and must wear white clothes.
