O Center of Being organize the Zen Saturday with special class de Iyengar Yoga e Mindfulness Meditation with the teacher Chris Nirvana. O Iyengar-yoga is the yoga system introduced by BKS Iyengar (born in Bellur, India), which values ​​the alignment of postures. The practice known as Mindfulness relieves stress and anxiety, improves sleep and helps with weight gain problems. It also helps with professional, academic, sexual performance, among others. The roots of this therapy are in Buddhism. However, it was in the 1970s that it became popular in the United States, after laboratory research was carried out that proved the fact that its practice could be the key to combating diseases. Christianne Nirvano (Chris Nirvano) graduated in Physical Education from Rio de Janeiro and has been teaching Physical Education for over 20 years and yoga for the last 16 years. In preparation, she studied various Yoga and meditation techniques in Brazil, India, Nepal, USA and Italy. In 2005, she went to Florence to study Iyengar Yoga with Gabriella Giubilaro. Now Chris has returned to Brazil and teaches classes in Florianópolis, organizes yoga workshops and retreats in different countries and conducts individual and group classes in English, Italian and Portuguese.
