Florianópolis hosts the first stage of the year Petrobras King and Queen of the Sea Circuit, marking not only the official opening of the event calendar, but also its return to other Brazilian cities. After a year with stages only on the coast of Rio, the circuit brings new features to the beautiful beach of Jurerê Internacional. The amateur circuit has events for all styles and ages. Evidence of open sea swimming, which have three different distances: 1km (Sprint), 2km (Classic) and 4km (Challenge). Those who love running on the sand can opt for the Beach Run with 5km. And, for those who can't do without either of them, the Beach Biathlon Challenges participants in a combined 1km swim and 2,5km run. For those who want to be at sea, but prefer to replace their strokes with oars, there will also be tests of Stand Up Paddle in two distances: 4km and 8km.
