! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

The Live Cinema Project promoting the screening of the historical drama film Battleship Potenkin, a classic of Russian silent cinema from 1925. The soundtrack is performed live by the band from São Paulo ATR - Russian Stewardesses and Tennis Players, in the Cinema Room Integrated Culture Center (CIC). Synopsis of the film: In 1905, in Tsarist Russia, an uprising took place that presaged the 1917 Revolution. It all started on the battleship Potemkin when sailors were tired of being mistreated, even spoiled meat being given to them with the ship's doctor insisting that it was perfectly edible. Some sailors refused to eat this meat, so the ship's officers ordered their execution. Tension builds and gradually the situation gets more and more out of control. Right after the triggers are pulled Vakulinchuk, a sailor, yells at the soldiers and asks them to think and decide if they are with the officers or the sailors. The soldiers hesitate and then lower their weapons. With great anger, an officer tries to grab one of the rifles and causes a revolt on the ship, in which the sailor is killed. But this would only be the beginning of a great tragedy.
