As a commemorative program for its 65th anniversary, the MAM Cinematheque Show presents, from July 10th to 16th, 3 feature films and 5 short films that recall aspects and moments of its trajectory, remarkable both for the preservation and dissemination of the memory and history of Brazilian cinema.
A MAM Cinematheque Exhibition 65 years Is totally online, free of charge and can be found on the website www.vimeo.com/mamrio.
On Friday (10), there is the documentary Tudo por amor à cinema by Aurélio Michiles, about one of the most important characters in the history of Brazilian cinema: Cosme Alves Netto (1937-1996). Better known as MAM's “Cosme da Cinemateca”, he was present, between the 50s and 80s, in several episodes in the history of Brazilian and Latin American cinema, especially in the fight for its dissemination and preservation.
