The renowned French film festival Varilux, which annually occupies commercial movie theaters throughout Brazil, promotes a differentiated event in times when the pandemic makes crowding unfeasible: the Varilux Festival at home - completely free. The event, which runs from 29/04 to 27/08, is an initiative of the festival's organizers, together with many partners - among them, the French Alliance.
The initiative is also a partnership with the looke platform, and promotes the exhibition of 50 films that have passed the last editions of the festival. It's 4 months of French cinema totally free and that covers all audiences.
Among those selected are features that have recently been part of some of the most important awards in the world: "The Bad Fox", "Cyrano, Mon Amour", "The Revolution in Paris", "Galguin, Journey to Tahiti", "Thanks to God", "Naked Normandy", "Who do you think I am", among others. Another highlight is the films aimed at children: two animated features by the famous duo Asterix and Obelix, "The Forest Boy" and "A Cat in Paris" are some of the titles.
