Plastic artist from Minas Gerais, based in Florianópolis, opens 1st exhibition in the Capital

Pigmented prints of drawings made with a pen and ink, India ink and water on cotton paper are part of the Linha d'Água exhibition, by the artist from Minas Gerais, Joao Pedro Nemer, which opens at 19 pm on October 15 at the Multi Open Shopping. The free exhibition consists of 18 works, 15 of which are unpublished.

The exhibition can be visited, free of charge, from Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 22 pm and on Sundays from 12 pm to 20 pm, until November 15 at the boulevard of Open Shopping.

João Pedro Nemer holds a degree in Visual Arts from the School of Fine Arts at UFMG. During his career at the academy he had exchange experiences at KABK – Royal Academy of Art, Netherlands and at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, Portugal. Multimedia artist, he works with drawing, painting, animation, collage, engraving, installation and action. In 2019 he had his first solo exhibition, 'Linhas de transpósito', at the BDMG Cultural Art Gallery, in Belo Horizonte.

Among the group exhibitions, the following stand out: 'A Deriva' at the UFMG Cultural Center (2012) – 'Kalleb' at KABK – Royal Academy of Arts, The Hague, Netherlands (2013) – 'Violated Book' at the UFMG Faculty of Education (2014) – 'Between Lines', at Parque Municipal de Belo Horizonte (2014) – 'Refoundations', at SESC Ipiranga, São Paulo (2019).
