Made by the artist Ro Cechinel, the photographic exhibition has 30 photographs taken by Italian (Staglieno, in Genoa) and Brazilian (Consolação and Necrópole São Paulo, in São Paulo) cemeteries, which provoke a reflection on the mysteries of life and death. The images are not reproductions of the sculptures, but a cut of the eroticism underlined by the artist, who has been researching the subject since 2010.
Carved in granite, marble and bronze, the pieces form an open-air museum. The sculptures were made in the graves of wealthy families and of the most different religions. The works are representations of nostalgia, love, sadness, nobility, respect, innocence, suffering, pain, reflection and regret.
