The artist Clara Fernandes will present installations, drawings and plots created at first by a performative proposition of a set of readings and re-elaborations on biblical and mythology texts in which plastic and metaphorical references are made to the presence of gods and saints, muses and angels.
Most of the nine installations presented by the artist are close to the habitat where Clara lives - the interior of Santa Catarina Island - presenting elements of native flora, such as the embiruçu and sibipiruna, from which materials are extracted for the making of the works. It is through these natural materials on metal, wood and silk supports that the artist explores the scriptures of the major prophets.
