Exhibition “From the Desert Letters to Darwin’s Symphony” at MIS/SC

! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

"From the Desert Letters to Darwin's Symphony" is the name of the new exhibition of the Museum of Image and Sound of Santa Catarina (MIS/SC). The exhibition features 62 color photographs from the Atacama Desert (Chile) and Patagonia (Argentina) regions, of the climbers, adventurers and cyclists who collaborated with the two books by Isabel Leal Caruso.

The show will feature the exhibition of works, projections and videos by the writer and collaborators, and will have on display the equipment used in the adventures – boots, cargo backpack, tents, etc. Also, to add a special touch, Isabel organized a traveler story contest to compete for one of her books.

Isabel was a world-class jiu jitsu fighter, judoka and also competed in triathlon. Restless and eager for new adventures – she has traveled to Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, the Peruvian Andes and beyond – she made the right decision: instead of verbal reports, soon forgotten, she decided to write and publish books about the new trips. The first was “By Bike, the south of France is another story”, (221 pages., 2015), it was a 600 km ride with partner Tiago Valente, through the French Mediterranean. A novelty at the time: the work was paid for through crowdfunding from 85 people.
