the uruguayan artist Diego de Los Campos performs the digital exhibition Barbie cure, consisting of four videos. The works propose dissolutions of stereotyped human figures. The exhibition can be seen for free on the website of O Sitio Coworking (click here to access).
One of the highlights is nobody loves me, in which the head of a doll Barbie receives a jet of hot air that starts to curl your hair. Already in Precipitation, Barbie is submerged in solvent and the doll's face paint slowly drips off until it discolors.
The two works that make up the series Ultra Strength, a plastic soldier is melted by hot air gun. The video was edited mirroring on its vertical axis, showing a trembling face, breaking apart and revealing its hollow interior, becoming amorphous.
