Summer arrives, time to enjoy the natural beauties. As it could not be otherwise, the eyes turn to the ocean. To further improve this climate, the exhibition two coasts, which brings together paintings by Alan Langdon. The works were created offshore on the northwest coast of the United States and on the south coast of Brazil. The Pacific and Atlantic oceans, separated by the American continent, bathe two expressive geologies of rock and vegetation with their salt. Thick sands, sea caves, twisted trees that defy the winds and a light permeated with salt and humidity. Camping near the sea, Alan - filmmaker and artist - observed and painted the coastal landscape of the regions of Oregon (USA) and Torres (Brazil) with the personal proposal of translating contemplation into artistic retreat into paint. Twelve works in oil on paper measuring 21cm x 28cm are on display, the result of experiences on both coasts, as testimony to the materiality and precariousness of portraying landscapes in constant climate change.
