From the 12th of July to the 18th of September, the Santa Catarina Art Museum (Male) receives the exposure Hugo Mund Júnior: Graphic Work, with research and curation by Sebastião G. Branco about the graphic work of the artist, poet, editor, draftsman, engraver and teacher born in Mafra (SC), in 1933.
The project presents a clipping of the trajectory of a lifetime dedicated to art, with more than 80 works in three axes of Hugo Mund's production: illustrations, editions and visual poems. The exhibition is complemented by a catalogue, public classes, a workshop and educational activities. At the age of 89, Hugo Mund lives in Brasília and no longer has an artistic activity. Project selected by the Elisabete Anderle Cultural Stimulus Award - 2019 edition, executed with resources from the State of Santa Catarina, through the Catarina Foundation of Culture.
All of this is the result of five years of research and the master's thesis by curator Sebastião Gaudêncio Branco, who identified 120 works and records in public and private collections, part of which will be on display, and the entire work has been detailed in an unprecedented chronology. of the artist's life.
