The exposure The Time of Dreams: Contemporary Aboriginal Art from Australia it is the most diverse, vigorous and exuberant collection of the oldest continuous artistic tradition on the planet. The exhibition celebrates 70 years of Santa Catarina Art Museum (Men), one of the most important art institutions and the second oldest in the country. The works that make up the collection are by renowned artists, such as Rover Thomas, Tommy Watson e Emily KameKngwarray, among others, who have already had their works exhibited at MoMA and Metropolitan, in New York, Biennials such as the one in Venice, São Paulo and Sidney, among other internationally prestigious events, such as Documenta, in Kassel, and ArtBasel (Miami, Basel and Hong Kong). Emily KameKngwarray is one of the stars of the show. A black woman, she began painting at the age of 79 and is considered by critics as one of the greatest expressionist painters of the 20th century. With this exhibition, the curators aim to provide the Brazilian people with the opportunity to reflect on the indigenous peoples of both Australia and , as in Brazil and on the impact of colonization on them.
