In celebration of the 115th anniversary of the birth of Carlos Drummond de Andrade and in honor of the 30th anniversary of the poet's death, the Victor Meirelles Museum, in partnership with UFSC, presents the exhibition Poetry, Memory and Archive: Carlos Drummond de Andrade. The exposure presents the Santa Catarina public with a special collection of rare works, such as first editions and special editions for bibliophiles, in addition to unpublished original letters, handwritten and typed, photographs, discography and the opportunity to hear the poet's voice reading his verses, offering the Santa Catarina community the possibility of a closer contact with the poetry and memory of the poet. The catalog comprises the first editions of Drummond's books presented in contrast and comparison with their most recent versions, that is, since his first published book, some poetry, until Farewell (posthumous edition), passing through anthologies, special collections, his poetry translated and published in other countries, as well as his poetry and prose translations into Portuguese, in addition to something of the poet's critical fortune. The exhibition is curated by Maria Lucia de Barros Camargo and Laíse Ribas Bastos. Visits from Tuesday to Friday, from 10 am to 18 pm, and on Saturdays, from 10 am to 14 pm.
