! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

The exhibition proposes clippings within the collection by Jeanine and Marcelo Collaço Paulo, which is composed of works and pieces that have several different origins - in schools and movements in the history of art. Registered over the last five hundred years in countries such as Portugal, Peru, France, Spain and Italy, the exhibition brings together outstanding artists on the international scene, such as: Alfredo Ceschiatti, Bruno Giorgi, Eliseu Visconti, Ismael Nery, Jean-Baptiste Debret, Louise Canuet, Pedro Américo, Oscar Pereira da Silva, Othon Friesz, Sonia Ebling and Victor Meirelles from Santa Catarina. Another strong point is the presence of a significant set of works by artists who are central to the artistic production of Santa Catarina, with Elke Hering, Fernando Lindote, Luiz Henrique Schwanke, Malinverni Filho, Martinho de Haro, Paulo Gaiad, Rodrigo de Haro, Rubens Oestroem, among others. . Furthermore, the exhibition is curated by Edina De Marco and Josué Mattos. The representation of the body, which is a central element in the collection that was composed in the last forty years, appears in diversified records, which include Christian iconography, genre scenes and portraits, whose treatments find affiliations both in Brazilian and European academic practices, as well as in European medieval art, in Cusco painting, in the Jesuit art of South America, in the historical vanguards and in contemporary art. Containing approximately 120 works of different languages, including paintings, drawings, watercolors, sculptures and engravings, the exhibition senses and senses questions the ambivalence of terms, in order to understand "the senses" as a direction and matrix of sensations. In turn, "the senses" are thought of as an understanding of something, as a set of sensory experiences and as the human condition of producing meaning about things and about oneself.
