Franklin Bar launches gallery with works by artist Thiago Valdi

To celebrate the 112th anniversary of the birth of the artist Franklin Cascaes, patron of the Franklin Bar, located in the center of Florianópolis, on October 16 (the date of Cascaes' birth), the opening of the gallery with works by the artist manezinho, Thiago Valdi.

 The exposure ominous consists of several ceramic sculptures, which according to the artist are inspired by sorceresses and witches, found in stories and drawings by the researcher of Azorean culture, folklorist, ceramist, anthropologist, engraver and Brazilian writer born on Itaguaçu beach, in the continental region of the Capital of Santa Catarina.

 In addition to the sculptures that are for sale, Valdi made a mural that is in the outside area of ​​the bar and, starting at 18 pm on the 16th, he will make a Live painting. The entire process of painting a boitatá can be accompanied by the bar's regulars. The new work will be part of the collection and will be displayed in honor of the patron of the space.
