Cloudy days and night are the preferred environments for Joaquim Araujo. The territory is the Historic Center of Florianópolis. The light is diffused and the human figure has a primordial presence. Most are anonymous characters. They're in a hurry, on their way home after a day's work. Or they are devotees of saints, young people in love or protesters on the streets fighting for a better country. The sequence of 30 black and white photos was taken between 1992 and 2015.
