Feather Cushion Exhibition: stop motion art

! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

A show highlights the meticulous and diverse stages that gave rise to the film Feather Cushion, covering the world of stop motion animation in detail. Among the pieces on display will be characters, sets, props, costumes and systems used during the animation process, in addition to research materials, storyboard, concepts, posters, trailer and backstage images. Using a stop motion shooting technique (for which 24 photos are needed to create one second of film), the director Joseph Specker Nys designs the animated short film, which was included in the Rumos Itaú Cultural 2013-2014 program. Feather Cushion is an adaptation of the homonymous short story by the writer Horacio Quiroga (1878-1937), considered one of the main Latin American short story writers of all time. The plot follows Alicia, the protagonist who contracts an inexplicable illness, while her husband Jordão witnesses the whole drama acting in an indifferent way. A mystery is driving Alicia crazy and the illness makes the young woman mix reality with monstrous hallucinations. THE premiere of the film is on March 22, in three sessions: 19:30, 20:20 and 30:XNUMX. The screenings are held in the Cinema Room of the Integrated Cultural Center (CIC).
