The exhibition, which brings together works by eight Brazilian artists, aims to discuss maternalism in the visual arts, a term of English origin that indicates the feminist struggle against patriarchal and sexist models. A delicate topic is also discussed: the myth of motherhood. The show also dialogues with the empowerment process, a word that aggregates forces adopted by different social groups, especially the feminist movement, which discuss rights. The works are thepresented in different ways, such as installation, photographs, video art or photocollage. In addition, the collective exhibition assumes importance due to its curatorial approach: simple, direct, accurate, which is why it has the capacity to attract a wide audience in the summer season.
