The human and the animal: an encounter. Man's becoming to the animal condition: a metamorphosis. The degeneration. The finitude. What remains. These are some of the questions that run through the photographs and objects in the exhibition by the artist from São Paulo. Julia Amaral.
In addition to the opening day events, the exhibition program includes a roundtable on July 14 at 18:30 pm, entitled A Poética da Espreita: Julia Amaral. The table's proposal is to discuss the artist's trajectory, as well as the works present in the exhibition.
The exposure Have a Free Back is part of the project Memory in Transit which proposes to study and publicize the works of Santa Catarina artists belonging to the collection of the Victor Meirelles Museum. With this, the Museum aims to broaden the understanding of the poetics of these artists, encouraging the elaboration of other discourses about their works.
