One of the city's best-known traditional festivals, the fenaostra - National Oyster and Azorean Culture Festival - yours arrives 16th edition, bringing Azorean culture as the main highlight of the party, being represented in the decoration of Fenaostra and also in the event's attractions. Among the main events, the fun with the papaya ox, maricota, bernunça, and the animals that dance the songs that involve the death and resurrection of the ox, and the games of the boy Mateus, will bring joy to the little ones who interact with the dance.
For adults, there will be performances during the five days of celebration with local bands, stand up comedy and other cultural groups specially prepared to brighten up Fenaostra.
Additionally, this year's party will feature Fenaostra Creative City Gastronomic Cultural Competition, which will have a professional category aimed at chefs and cooks in restaurants and hotels in Santa Catarina and another academic category, for students of all levels and types of gastronomy courses in the State.
