According to the World Health Organization (WHO) it is estimated that in Brazil alone there are more than 30 million abandoned animals, between 10 million cats and 20 million dogs. To engage this cause, on Saturday (4th), the floripa mall will open the doors to receive the Animal Adoption Fair in partnership with the NGO Acapra and the team from Kátia Chubaci in the process of social castration. The space destined for the fair will be in the garden, in front of the mall. The fair will take place from 10 am to 17 pm and the social castration task force from 9 am to 17 pm, by prior appointment on WhatsApp (48) 98804.7848.
The best way to combat pet abandonment is to promote responsible ownership. For this, at the Adoption Fair, pets must be properly neutered and with all vaccines up to date. If the animal is still a puppy, it must present the updated vaccination card and the tutor is committed to neutering it. In the social castration task force, the values vary from R$130 to R$300 depending on the size of the animal. It is worth remembering that the post-operative medication is already included in the cost of castration.
During the action, those interested will be able to donate hygiene products and food, to assist in the care of rescued animals.
