In its 26th edition, the Gay Pop Contest, a carnival costume contest with an LGBT focus is one of the attractions of the Carnival Magic 2019. The prize is R$ 2 thousand for the first place in each of the two categories: beauty queen e Drag Queen. This edition is carried out in Central Arena on Avenida Paulo Fontes, in front of the Centro Integration Terminal (Ticen). At inscriptions to participate in the contest are open until February 28 and can be held from Monday to Friday, from 13 pm to 18 pm. According to the regulations, each competitor can register in only one category and must be at least 18 years old. The place to fill in the registration form is the Secretary of Tourism, Technology and Innovation, located at Rua Padre Roma, 482, Edifício Prime Office Center, 3rd floor, room 304.
