After years of waiting, one of the most important names in world reggae arrives in Florianópolis to perform at Fields. Alpha Blondy performs alongside The Solar System, the band with which the Ivorian recorded most of his albums. In the repertoire, a mix of the artist's classics and also his novelties. Opening the show will be the orchestrated reggae project Marley Concert, which plays the classics of the king of reggae.
Seydou Koné, the name behind Alpha Blondy, achieved recognition in the 80s, when he released the albums Aphateid is Nazism (1987) and Jerusalem (1986), the latter recorded with Bob Marley's band The Wailers. Winner of the 2003 Grammy Award (Best Reggae Album), the artist is a true cultivator of hits that have become classics of the genre, such as "Brigadier Sabary", "Jerusalem", Afriki or "Apharteid is Nazism".
