The trio Erva Rasteira is the remnant of a project that began in 1999, in Florianópolis. At that time, the band consisted of seven musicians, among them the violinist Bruno Jacomel who is part of Camerata Florianópolis and other musicians from the reggae band “Tatuíra”. The accordion became part of the group a few years later, further characterizing forró.
