Freely mix bands, styles and audience: this is the proposal of Musical Balaio, a project that debuts at Casa de Noca. The group's surf music damadera and the forrobodó of Weed command the sound mosaic. The space opens at 22 pm, with Ricardo Juliani. Live sound starts at midnight.
The group Damadera is a true representative of body and soul of surf music on the island. Formed by four friends, musicians and surfers, who share their experiences between the stages and the beaches. With a mix of strong, swinging rhythms, distorted guitars and violin melodies echo like the sway of waves. This year the group released the album Surf & Sound, influenced by surfing and also the involvement with the preservation and love of the island. A mix of surf and sound, African rhythms and Brazilian swing, seasoned with rock, reggae and rap mark the band's performances. The trio Erva Rasteira is composed of Henry Soarez (zabumba and voice), Marcos Lele (accordion) and Andrey Goes (triangle) and brings in its repertoire classics from forró, in addition to its own compositions and by artists from the Island.Start: 11/07/2014 01:00
