O Sabiá Trio He has been on the road for 34 years playing authentic Forró. Sanfono player Joca, who is the founder of the Trio, comes from a family of Bahian musicians who have made and continue to make history within Forró. He is the brother of accordion player Pedro Sertanejo, who with great determination popularized Forró in São Paulo, by opening a hall for dancing forró at Rua Catumbi, 183 – in the Brás neighborhood, overcoming prejudice and persecution against Forró. Pedro was the one who encouraged his brother to form Trio Sabiá. Joca is the uncle of the most international accordion player in Brazil, Oswaldinho do Acordeon, who is the son of Pedro Sertanejo and has two brothers who make a living from music: Ari (drummer) and Juraci (Pianist). The event will also feature the participation of Trio Cabrobró opening the show.
