The traditional contest that chooses the Queen and Princesses of the Carnival of Florianópolis has a change of date and location in the 2019 edition: this year's event is held at Central Arena da Paulo Fontes Avenue, in front of the Centro Integration Terminal (Ticen). The keys to the city are given to the King Momo, who parades through the streets accompanied by the block. The celebration takes place shortly after the departure of the also traditional block Cockle of Mouth.
