This Saturday, the Noca's house promotes the Africa Special, with concerts by the bands The clinic, DunDun e Manden Baro, in addition to the disco DJ Yayi. La Clínica is a group composed of women who, through African and Afro-Brazilian musicality, their dances and other performative elements, explore the strength of the feminine and bring sociopolitical questions about the social role of women, madness and diversity.
The Chilean group DunDun Trio is characterized by the interpretation of the music and dance "Afro-mandingue", mainly the dundun dance (drum dance), which mixes musical and body work based on the study and research on the culture of Western Guinea, carried out by the members Daniela Vallejos, Natalia Varela, Valentina Bravo, Addia Furtado, Max Levy and Alejandro Moraga.
Mandén Baro is a band that has its roots in Africa. It is a mixture of ethnicities and rhythms from Guinea with modern music, embracing afrobeats, reggae, blues, samba reggae without borders, in original songs and traditional songs of the people of mandén. The band is led by master Djanko Camara, griot of the people of Faranah, guardian of the music and culture of his people through the heritage of his lineage. The instrumentalization is by Pedro Broering on electric guitar and acoustic guitar, Andrey Riley on bass, Guilherme Ledoux on drums, Stephi Burguess on choirs and Ale Moraga on keyboards and choirs. For this Africa day performance, the stage will be shared with the Guinean Percussion Master: Sekouba Oulare, presenting a show full of nuances, rhythmic highs, delicious groove and African culture from the hand of two great masters of Mandingue culture.
And commanding the dance floor with the most danceable African sounds will be Daniella Durán (Dj Yayi), a Chilean artist with more than 10 years of experience in the musical and body arts of African cultures.
Music, Gastronomy and Art. These are the pillars of the house that seeks multiculture and the transversality of the arts. The aim is to renew the idea of pub food, without losing practicality. Decoration is a different case: it seeks order in disorder, as well as disorder in order. THE Noca's house you can work with poetry, visual arts, theater, circus or any artistic manifestation that the place can accommodate.
