Jana Goularte e Rivo Trio pay a beautiful tribute to the muse Elis Regina, navigating through the different genres of MPB that the singer has pioneered throughout her career. A night when emotions will be intense at Noca. O Rivo Trio Samba Jazz is the meeting of three talented musicians who feel the music and think alike. The group was created in 2011 when the drummer grandson fernandes had the idea to gather the bassist Rafael Calegari and the keyboardist Uiliam Pimenta, with the aim of creating an original sound, with peculiar interpretations of great music classics, in addition to developing an authorial repertoire.
The concept of samba jazz that the trio adopted came from the strong influence of Brazilian music, with its solid rhythm, striking swing, sophisticated harmony, and also from American music, which, through its improvisation, created a strong language in contemporary music.
