Get your swing ready because DeRaiz receives another edition of Fela Day. A night of contemplation on the controversial and revolutionary creator of Afrobeat, Fela Kuti. The tribute is the responsibility of the group SmokingBeats. This time the musical celebration will take place exactly 79 years after the creator of Afrobeat landed on earth. In this edition, the band Smoking Beats presents the show to celebrate the passage and musical wealth left by Fela. Afrobeat mixes the heartbeats of African percussion with the swing of jazz and funk. Added to Brazilian psychedelia, Smoking Beats was born. The group was formed in the second half of 2015 by experienced musicians from Florianópolis, with the idea of making music to listen to and dance within the aphrodisiac and lysergic universe of Afrobeat.
